Private limited companies no longer require a company secretary

From 6 April 2008 a private company does not have to have a company secretary.  An existing private company that decides to terminate the appointment of their secretary must notify that termination to Companies House on a form 288b.

How does this affect you?

If you already have a company that we are administering, we will resign ourselves as company secretary when we complete the next Companies House Annual Return. This will not make any difference at all to the day to day running of your company.

If you are about to incorporate a new company with All Tax UK, you as director, will be the only officer of the company.

If you have any other questions relating to the above, please contact one of our qualified consultants.
